5 reasons: why do we go to Italy?

Italy

Each of us, thinking about holidays in Europe, reminiscent of Italy with special awe, because it is the home of famous creators and scientists, cuisine, cinema, architecture. Most often we think of Ancient Rome, Caesar, Gladiators, paintings of the Renaissance and Leonardo da Vinci. That’s why millions of people from all over the world go to Italy.

Tourists usually go to major cities, associating Italy with an urban type of vacation. They forget that the borders of the country only in the north are on land, the rest are maritime borders. And thanks to the unique shape of the Apennine Peninsula, the distance from the sea to the countryside in the interior is no more than 200-300 km. If you have the opportunity to rent a car, it is quite possible to stay in a mountain village and several times during the vacation to go to the sea for the day. In any case, go on a beach holiday in Italy – a great idea, because here the rest at least will be accompanied by good wine and food, and there are so many places to see. And they are easy to get to.

  1. Italy is a country “with a picture”. How many Italian landscapes and marinas hang in museums around the world, and photos on the Internet do not count. And not without reason, because the nature of this country is multifaceted: fields, rocks, seas, lakes, ancient villages. There is a lot to see here. This is a very beautiful country. But for travel, it’s more of a plus. It is not worth flying to another country for birches and lakes.
  2. Italy is a true open-air museum. Monuments and excavations are practically at every step. By the way, if you go for the excavations, then I have not seen anything better than Rome in this regard, even Pompeii lose in my humble opinion. And if you want to walk past the famous paintings and sculptures, you can’t.
  3. Do you like Italian cuisine? Pasta, dry wine, the freshest seafood, cheeses, maybe you miss Parma? Italy is the birthplace of this wonderful cuisine. Where else do they cook it best?
  4. Italian stores. Every year thousands of women go to Italy for shopping tours during the seasonal sales to buy Italian clothing at significant discounts. And in general, in this country everyone dresses fashionably, it’s just a matter of fact. Rarely will you meet an Italian who has not thought out his outfit for today.
  5. Climate. In Italy you can go at any time of year. Yes, depending on the season you will have a different program, you will not go swimming in January, although it is warmer there. But there is something to do at any time of year: walks, hikes, museums, parks, and much more.
