New Bike Hire Service for Livorno in 2012

Elisa Verde is only 22, but she has lots of determination, energy and ideas for her new project, Greenbike, a bicycle hire service in Livorno, which is due to open in April. The name of her company refers not only to the ecological aspect of bike-riding, but also to her surname which means 'green' in Italian!

Elisa won an EC grant for young entrepreneurs from the Provincia di Livorno and has since been busy putting everything in place to start her new bike rental business in April. She has the premises - in Scali del Corso, close to Livorno town hall and on the edge of the Venezia district -, 36 bikes, helmets, and locks, and her Greenbike website is currently under construction, so she is already well on her way to putting her plans into action.
