Cruise ships calling at the Port of Livorno

The Azamara Quest is operated by Azamara Cruises and belongs to Royal Caribbean. Like its sister ship the Azamara Journey, it was built in 2000 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique, Saint Nazaire, France, and sails under the flag of Malta. It carries up to 686 passengers and 408 crew members. The Azamara Quest arrived from Portofino and will sail for the port of Civitavecchia after Livorno.

The MSC Armonia was built in 2001 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique, St Nazaire, France. It has a capacity of 2680 passengers and 721 staff and crew members and sails under the flag of Panama. The ship arrived from Olbia, Sardinia and its next port of call is Genoa.


The Royal Princess is operated by Princess Cruises and owned by the Carnival Corporation. It was built in 2013 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy and sails under the flag of Bermuda. It has a capacity of 3560 passengers and 1346 crew members. The ship arrives from Genoa in the morning and after Livorno will sail for the port of Civitavecchia.

Pullmantur's Sovereign makes its weekly call with a potential of 2733 passengers and 820 crew members, it was built in 1987 and at the time was the biggest cruise ship in the world. It sails under the Maltese flag and was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint Nazaire, France. The Sovereign will be calling at the port of Livorno every Wednesday until November. It sailed from Civitavecchia yesterday and will leave for Villefranche sur Mer in France this evening.
